You can't get into it by watching. If you don't take a character from scratch and watch them grow its pretty hard to just observe and understand. Bonus points if you pay attention to the lore.
I've watched his ex-wife start a character from scratch and "build" it, but it still didn't interest me. Ahh, well...

I totally disagree with these two statements, the X-Men movies didn't do her character any justice at all. Mystique in the comics was a leader, the movies portrayed her as a lackey to Magneto.

Agreed, they got some of it right but didn't develop her character well.

It's really close. They're still running neck and neck, but just those few details in GT5 give it the edge over Forza. They could have kept the NASCAR out, though. It's not the same as EA's NASCAR. Forza has the edge when it comes to the cars. There are more cars and better cars in Forza. GT5 doesn't have Porsche in it, but Forza does. GT5 doesn't have as many BMWs in it, either. What's a racing game without a 1972 BMW CSL? I'd better stop before I go into my car talk again.

That was just one night. I didn't mention the others. I visit with my parents when they're awake, but as soon as they go to bed, it's time for me to get busy driving. Plus my dad has a 55" LCD in the rec room. I'll be on it tonight probably until about 6am. LOL.

eta: $10 bucks he's playing it right now as we speak (probably with an empty bowl of chitlins in front of him).
nah, I wasn't eating any chitlins, but you hit it on the nose with the first part of your post.

It still doesn't change the fact that the actress played the part well. It also doesn't change the fact that Mystique is awesome. Pretty much the only two things we were talking about.

I posted this a few years ago, but I think you guys would love it, if you are not aware already:

Kingdom of Loathing, think of it as Stick-figure MMORPG.

I've been playing it for 7 or 8 years (I forget), great community.

Also, I'm thinking of expanding my game base.....

Red Dead Redemption...opinions?
also....

Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2...I don't think I'm ready for Bioshock

Has anyone played Limbo?

I don't think any of the screenwriters read the comics, or didn't give a shit either way. I vaguely remember (in 2000) hearing Bryan Singer say something about not bothering to stay true to the comics because 99% of the target audience had never read an issue. Even so, the guy who played Colossus could have faked a Russian accent and WTF was up with Halle Berry's Storm and Cyclops and Jean being in their mid 30s but iceman being 14???

can't go wrong with any of those titles at all...Bioshock is a good game to play with the lights off!

I know for some of the other Marvel movies they've drawn a lot of inspiration from the Ultimates, I'm wondering if that's where some of the age difference came from. I haven't seen a lot of the Ultimate X-Men comics though so I don't remember if that's more similar.

I think they've learned from their mistakes though as far as the other Marvel/DC movies are concerned.
