The fraternity's Virginia-based international governing body has closed UGA's Beta-Lambda chapter after an internal investigation found that members had violated the fraternity's rules on hazing and substance abuse, according to a letter sent to the fraternity chapter late last week.

Wilson believes Kappa Sigma could return to UGA in a few years, after the current members have graduated, he said.
"We'll be off of the campus for at least two or three years," Wilson said. "That gives the current membership a chance to graduate and time for us to go in, recruit a new a class of students and make a new start for our future. We want to make sure that the heritage that we have at UGA will continue, and we want to assure our alumni that we will return to the campus."
