One of the guys that I hang out with proposed going up to the old alma mater. This would be fun if I could be assured it wouldn't snow like crazy and they wouldn't spend the entire time trolling for 22 year old chicks. The place I went to last NYE closed a few weeks afterwards, so maybe I should just stay home. LOL

Still trying to figure it out. Want to do something fun, but it's gotta be cheap. Either here or back in the hometown so we don't have to get a hotel room, but neither place does anything exciting. They're probably the last two towns in PA that don't drop something at midnight...

I may be there, albeit briefly. We're going out with a good guy friend (who's really wonderful) and his girlfriend (who's not!) for dinner, then possibly to Navy Pier. I leave the next morning, so we're playing it by ear.

I will either be spending new years eve with my boyfriend´s fraternity or out partying with some friends... hard to decide..
If I spend it with the boys it will be fun, but it´s a bit weird being one of the few girlfriends there. If I spend it with the girls I´d have to go to a club I very much dislike and a few girls who are also coming are just.. not my type of people..
Decisions decisions...

I'm starting NYE at a party for 3 and 5 year olds (no, I don't have kids) at a penthouse on Palm Jumeirah (google it), and then maybe dinner at Atlantis. But I hate paying big bucks for dinner, so maybe we'll go to dinner at a regular restaurant on the marina and watch the fireworks as we walk home in fantastic weather under the stars. They're big on fireworks here in Dubai and we live right by the beach so we can see a ton as long as we're outside. Last year we didn't factor in the fireworks and got home about 15 minutes too early. Oops!

10 day forecast is calling for rain/snow mix on NYE. I know it's early, but SHEESH can't we get decent weather? This would be the third year in a row that weather screws with plans.
