My sisters and I are hitting NYC for New Year's Eve. Staying at a sister's apartment and being flown in on guest tickets. We should make t-shirts...

Another big thing to do is goto San Francisco. I like where Sacramento is. We are about 2 hrs aways from Lake Tahoe or San Fran. Hmm Lake Tahoe would be a good idea.....

I'll be on the Carnival Conquest in the Gulf of Mexico...on our way to Montego Bay, Jamaica. I'll begin my new year with plenty of sun!

Old Thread, same question!
I'm not sure what I'll be doing. What will you all be doing?

Nothing really. I'm just bringing the New Year in with my mom. Then I fly out Jan 1.

I love navy pier. I love Chicago, period. We went there for Valentine's Day weekend this year, and I had a blast. There's so many fun places to go.

Chicago is my favorite place in the world. I just love it. I love the winters but the summers are great compared to the Texas summers here although I have been up there when it was 100 plus degrees but it was bearable because I was in Chicago.

Fiance said "I'll be in charge of New Years this year, don't worry about it!". Not having to plan anything sounded great, so I agreed. Unfortunately I forgot that his friends (who I am friends with also) are the cheapest people in the world. We wanted to do some kind of big downtown party (we were looking at Navy Pier too, Chicago88), but that's too much money for them.
Hey I'm all about being frugal, but it bums me out that they can't save up a little in advance and splurge on one night for something like New Years. And it's not they that they're broke either, they all have some kind of income, be it full time or part time.
Last time I checked with my friends they didn't have any big plans either. I think I'll try to get something last minute with them...and if not, fiance and I will still do something fun!

I'm spending NYE with my best friends in the city...we're doing a prix fixe open bar dinner from 9-1. It's going to be like, $145 total, which is no biggie.

I will be in Boston! My friend from HS college friends got a hotel room so we're heading up. I'm really excited considering the last few new years have stunk.
