Today, while I was at work, I heard some of the greatest news I've heard in a while. EA Sports in bringing NASCAR back in the form of NASCAR 2011. It's coming out in Feb 2011. Check out the screen shots.

I love driving sims. I also can't wait to get home for the holidays so I can go to Silicon Motor Speedway at the Mall of America.

Tomorrow, I'll have to post how my first day went at the science museum. I'm volunteering as their tour guide, and spokesperson for the insect and spider exhibit. I'm also going to be speaking about and showing parasites, since it's inside of the dinosaur exhibit.
And is anyone going to see Tron?

This past week was review week for all students attending CCS (College for Creative Studies) This is the school I went to where I studied industrial design with an emphasis on transpotation design (after I graduated from CSU with an BA degree). We also had a teachers show to show our work when we were former students at the school. Some instuctors graduated from Art Center, and CIA (Cleveland Institute of Art). I took some pictures of some of the work (including my own) that was put up on the wall. We had a pretty nice turnout. I'll post them here.

These are some shots I took of other instructors work (this isn't my student work). These are all sketches and renderings that were done when they were transportation design students, the reason for the dated looking designs.

This is my work when I was a student at CCS. I didn't have that much stuff up on the wall for the show Friday, because when vellum gets old it turns yellow and most of my stuff was way too yellow. Plus, it was already too much work remounting the ones I did present.
ETA: I posted these here because I guess a car nut who enjoys drawing...well.. pretty much anything is pretty "geeky". The good thing is not only do I enjoy it, it's what I do for a living.

LOL. Yup, all of the race cars I did when I was there, I made sure the number was 63. His sketch was falling off because spray mount doesn't hold all that well when it gets old, and yes, you are being biased. But thanks, though.
