All I want for Christmas is a ticket to Glendale!
I'll be in Atlanta to cheer on my Tigers this weekend. Gotta say, 'Bama y'all gave us a run for our money. You just can't stop Cam once he gets going.
I'm personally thankful to have had such an exciting college football weekend

TCU accepts invitation to join Big East
As a TCU alumna, I am very excited about this possibility. Granted, the geography is quite odd, but you do what you have to do. Conferences that are geographically closer have not been interested in inviting TCU in, and they did what they had to do to join a BCS conference.
I also don't think travel will be that big of an issue. Currently, the athletes are traveling two time zones to Utah, Wyoming, and California. Plus, many of those schools are in areas that can not be accessed via a direct flight. By traveling only 100 or so miles further to go East, the teams only have to endure 1 hour time changes and many of those cities can be flown to direct. Therefore the travel and carbon footprint is smaller.
Basketball will be interesting. Admittedly, that will be quite the uphill battle for at least the first few years! It will be exciting for basketball fans in the DFW area when those Big East teams come through. Also was pleased to learn that the Pitt basketball coach is a TCU grad who was a star player on our team once-upon-a-time.
I hope that the football team can continue playing at their current level. Part of the reason that we were successful this year is a quarterback that was a four year starter. We shall see what happens after he graduates.
Personally, I am looking forward to finally being able to take a small road trip and actually get to watch them play.

Campionship?
GAWD, I am so tired of the media flocking to him like they did Tebow.
And if Auburn wins, we will be stuck listening to it for the next 2-3 years.
I love the SEC but I'm pulling for the Ducks!

Auburn is an awesome team. OK, I get it. But all the oohing and ahhing over Cam by the tv commentators made me truly nauseous. So GO DUCKS!

Currently Oregon is gearing up for finals week and the dorms are on 24\7 quiet hours. But after the game...it was insane. I could almost feel the floor shaking from people above and below me jumping up and down. I swear it is impossible to walk 20ft on this campus now without hearing "Glendale". Never been a better day to be a duck

Haha I'm on 15th and Hilyard. The cars had to drive slower because of all the firework smoke. Sadly one of my friends had the glass door to their house broken because of "partiers" on the street.

Daughter watched the game with friends and enjoyed MAYBE the first 15 minutes after the game - then it was back to work on a comparative lit paper and studying for a finals. Not a fun way to celebrate a championship, but it must be done.
I'll give this to Auburn - as a football player, Cam Newton really is THAT amazing, but I am getting sick of ESPN reminding everyone of that fact 5 million times a day. Very similar teams, so it should be interesting. I think its great that both have second year coaches and neither has ever been to a championship before.

Do you think he'll be around that long? He is a Junior. If he wins the Heisman, I don't see any reason that he'll stick around. It's not like he is there for the education.

I didn't read enuff (skipped ALOT lol) about him to realize the was a junior.
How quick does daddy's church need rebuilding? Maybe I'll drive over and see (at least from the outside).
Wonder if there will be an influx of Sunday visitors adding to the collection plate?
