I love how Jeff sort of gave Nay an out to say "Yeah, you're right, I'm just putting on an act, I'm not REALLY a lying, stealing, low-class, trashy bitch", and instead, she does the EXACT OPPOSITE and completely confirms all of the aforementioned adjectives. At this point, I think people are correct that she'll make it to the end because everyone thinks that no one would vote for her. It could end up like Sandra winning Heroes v. Villains, though, where people didn't particularly LIKE her, but she also didn't DIRECTLY piss anyone off by helping to vote them off (yes, she's voted most of the time against the person who went home, but she was by no means the deciding factor).
I guess we also got some clarity as to where the alliance lines are drawn...but I was still wondering who the eff was on the zipline when Benry was first shown. I still forget about him.

I agree with AF (and Jeff's comments at tribal) that taking her to the end must look really attractive to the others. I don't think she'd win at the end, but stranger things have happened, I guess.
I was really going to be so mad at them if they didn't send Marty packing.
As to the preview, CBS.com says "One team returns to camp to find their worst nightmares have come true." It shows Dan, Benry, Brenda, Sash and Holly, so I'm guessing they were a team (the losing team?) in the reward challenge. They seem to be looking at something on the gound though. Maybe an animal came in and killed the chicken (and the rooster if he's still around)?

Based on the preview shown during TAR, it is indeed a fire at the campsite.

One would think that 25 days at camp would be enough time for people to learn some basic camp-protocol. What were they thinking?
Hey! Let's surround our campfire with WOODEN CHESTS, filled with supplies, and then leave it unattended while we all go away for the day!
I was surprised they didn't show the reaction from the reward-winners when they returned to camp.
Decent episode, though. Jane was pretty impressive in the immunity challenge. And it looks like Nay is back to her typical 7 year old self, based on the previews.

I felt bad for them... up until I saw them shoving those chests up against the fire and covering the fire with wooden boards. I mean, really. I get that cold/starvation/dehydration/whatever can limit your thinking, but come on.

Biggest blindside of the season, IMO. Brenda was just HOSED by Sash. Will be interesting if he gets to the finals.

I haven't watched a lot of this season, but I wouldn't really consider what happened to Brenda a "blindside". She knew she was going home. She was just too proud to admit it.
And I'm not so sure she really believed Sash would give her the HII. I think they just edited that scene at tribal council to make it look like Brenda was looking at Sash and counting on him to save her.
I wasn't all that surprised to see Chase vote for her, either. I think he did it to try to save his own ass going into the next few days, because he started turning everyone off after he was telling Brenda everything.

Based on Brenda's interview at Reality News Online, she saw it coming, but she found out too late before tribal council, and it came as such a surprise to her that she was, in her words, "paralyzed." And knew Sash wouldn't give her the idol.
RNO: The big question of the day: Why didn’t you use Sash’s idol? Did he refuse to give it to you?
Brenda: Yeah. If I was Sash, I wouldn’t have given it to me either. What people didn’t see is that one reason NaOnka decided I was very dangerous is because I trusted her so much that I trusted her with my plan to take out Sash. When Sash and the guys went out to the reward challenge, I thought, “Sash is probably playing me. If there’s one person who can stop me, it’s him. Maybe I should take him out before he takes me out.” I shared that with NaOnka. I was like, “We have to stick together.” I think that was when she was like, Brenda is [scheming].
One of the first things she said to Sash [on last night’s episode] was Brenda is planning to take him out, so there’s no way he was going to say, “Here you go, girl.” I was going to doing it. The time when I needed his idol or NaOnka’s idol, it didn’t make sense. It was hopeful thinking. You know the song, “All I Need Is a Miracle”? That song was what I was thinking – “All I need is that freaking idol!” But there was no way they were going to give it up.
RNO: We saw Chase and Sash vote against you along with just about everybody else – did you essentially give up and give them permission to do so?
Brenda: We talked and talked about it. I tried to push for Benry and NaOnka and threw out the whole idol thing. In the end, they told me point blank, “We cannot do anything. We have to look out for ourselves in the game.” What do you do when somebody tells you that? I still had hopeful wishful thinking they would somehow be like, “Brenda didn’t scramble because she’s still with us.” I didn’t scramble for a reason! It was not the pride thing. I wanted them to see I’m sticking with you guys ‘til the end. I trust you guys and want to play the game with you guys. That was what I was thinking the whole time and they didn’t [go along with it] – they voted for me. It’s all good and I understand why. Meanwhile, Purplekelly is clueless, despite her 20 years of wisdom. (Heh.) And old-lady Jane rocked the immunity challenge.

Purplekelly was the one I forgot about this episode. When Jeff called on her at Tribal, I had a "Who?" moment.
I hope Jane wins EVERY challenge to the end and wins it all.
There for a little while I thought Nay was going. Not knowing all of the backstory that Brenda provided to RNO, I thought maybe Sash and Brenda would use the HII to eliminate Nay (and the other idol).
The alliances and pecking order have shifted SOO quickly this season. I haven't read RNO this season, except what MC has posted here, but it's definitely not following their "rules" AT ALL. I wonder if they'll make big adjustments thinking that since the show has been on so long, the traditional strategies are no longer effective, or if they'll just assume this season is a freak of nature.

There's so much we don't see at Tribal. I've read that they go on for a whole lot longer than the three or four minutes we see on the show. Now that I've read some of the subsequent posts, I wonder if Jane doesn't have a fighting chance to take it all.

It's really worth watching the Insider clips at CBS.com, which include what each person said when voting. The clips from last week make clear that someone planted the seed with Sash that Brenda was planning to blindside him, and what he said when he voted for her indicates he believed it. ("I really want to go to the end with you, but you planned to backstab me so I have to strike first.") In another Insider clip, Jud says he planted a seed like that with NaOnka; I wonder if he did with Sash as well. (Jud's comment when voting: "You’re a super-cool girl, Brenda, but this game is not as easy as you think.")

I like Jud more and more each week.
This week is re-cap week, and while I feel that this has been a weak season, I'm actually looking forward to the re-cap because I really think there is A LOT that we'be missed. Normally, I'm not a fan of the re-caps. Such a backwards season.

Ive said all along I think he might just go all the way.
I still have the first episode on DVR, so along with the re-cap, I'm going to watch the first episode for clues, now that I have a better idea of who to pay attention to.

Can someone really be as self-centered and delusional as NaOnka? I guess so. I hate that the quitters get to be on the jury.
