@VS Thanks for the notification about the knitting, we will keep that in mind!

Get in touch with me if there are any takers. Since I'm not going home for the holidays and get some kick ass holiday pay/leave I always spend it crafting.

But I'm not sure whether I'd end up donating them or giving them to friends who also knew her. I was really proud of the fingerless glove I'd finished too, it looked professional-ish. :-/
Unfortunately it's probably on hold until I move into my own place and unpack everything. Unless I want to rebuy everything again

I made some lovely fingerless gloves with baby alpaca, which I believe my kitty has taken since he has a yarn addiction and a soft things (socks mostly) fetish. I haven't seen them in a week. I do magic loop and it makes gloves and socks go so much faster because I don't suffer from second sock syndrome. You should dig out your needles so you can knit and also have pointy things to stab people. We could totally do the Special Olympics Red Heart scarf as a knit-a-long since Red Heart is low cost, if you dig your needles out I will buy the yarn for you with my JoAnns or Michaels coupon.

This was my first time working with real wool and not acrylic and it was awesome. Not alpaca awesome but awesome. After my friend's wedding I may dig out/rebuy things. And you're too nice, I've never done a knit-a-long before . I can totally buy my own, especially red heart for a project.
I've never done magic loop either. *goes to google*
ETA: Oh wait, no I have one of those, I've just not knitted in the round on it yet. The fingerless gloves I'm making get stitched up the side.

Okay, I made a new thread about the scarf project to stop derailment.
Srsly GCers, you want a hand knit item, I'm your gal. I can even do color work and make a hat or scarf that includes your letters and colors, even a laptop bag. I'm crafty, I get around!

I'd make you a crimson and cream hat with elephants that are TRUNK UP.
Most people sell on etsy. I have only made one thing that wasn't directly for someone, it was a yoga mat bag for a diabetes auction. Since I make things directly for a person it is more meaningful to me, yeah I'm a freak.

You can knit in letters??? That's awesome!!! I would like to learn so I could make one!
My mom has this friend makes the really nice thick sweaters. She made me one in high school with my high school letters on it and I recently had my mom ask her to make me a Sigma one!!! It's probably not going to get started until after christmas because she's busy but I'm really excited for it!!!!
