My point was middle school to adulthood, retaliating isn't an option for everyone and doesn't always scare off bullies...it can sometimes make the situation worse. My personal opinion is to avoid violence unless it's directly in self defense from physical bodily harm.
Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do *shrugs*
I don't think adults should be threatening to whoop someone's ass, but if it comes down to it -- so be it.
