This is something you would need to discuss with your inter/national office and the local chapter. Every fraternity has different protocols for stuff like this. The only thing I feel confidant in saying, and I might even be wrong in this, is that generally speaking once an initiated brother leaves his institution of initiation, he is considered an alumnus, regardless of time as an undergad. my chapter has alum who were undergrad for like a week or 2 only before they left school for various reasons.
