They're not just repainted; they're completely new letters. I like the stripes. Very cute.

yeah i realized that after i hit post. =P
they WERE repainting the letters each year, bc the ones in the first post were the ones we used when i was there, but my last year they were solid blue with a white trim, nothing fancy. from recruitment pics it looks like fall 2009 was the last run for that set. i definitely like the new ones better.

These are more formal looking. I think they'll be more versatile.

the XΩ owl- that is so cute! (but makes me feel like the X needs something extra)

Nice to know that I'm not completely crazy for thinking that the Ω looks like an owl. While in an extremely creative mood, it randomly came to me that XΩ's letters really looked like their symbols on the badge: X for the crossbones, Ω for the owl. So, technically, they just have to add a little skull to the X, and it's consistent.

Alright, so that was it; I think I need to cool it off and stop memorizing random useless facts.

This is one of my favorite sets of letters I've seen. I love the way they worked in our Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty.
