Just woke up so my dream is fresh in my mind:

I was on vacation in Door County with a bunch of friends. We went out to some restaurant where you go up to the counter to order like a fast food place, then you sit down and they bring it to you. It was in some log cabin kind of place. Some how I ended up last in line and got my food last. So by the time I started eating everyone was almost done. So then they had to get back in line to pay and by the time I was done eating they were all leaving cause they paid. I finally paid then I had to pack up my backpack with all my stuff that I had, apparently. I had TONS of colored pencils with me, and I kept picking up more and more colored pencils off the floor and I was getting so frustrated because I wanted to find my friends...I could see through the window that they were across the street at an arcade. I wanted to meet them before they left the arcade. I finished packing all the colored pencils, and sure enough I saw them start to leave. Then I couldn't find my shoes. I look around and every place I look there are more and more shoes! Then I woke up, lol

One really, really weird thing that I just realized is that during the team, I saw people from high school...okay that doesn't wound weird, but it gets better: When I was "eating", I was sitting with a set of twins from my golf team. When I was packing the colored pencils, there were two people packing their bags with me, a DIFFERENT set of twins from my softball team.

I had a dream last night that 2 of my co-workers made porn on the side and invited me to be the latest star.

Don't even want to know where that came from...

Bumping. I had two very weird dreams last night. In the first, I was staying in my old grandparents' house (they have been gone since 1982) but it wasn't in the old beaten up area of Detroit where it really is, it was in a really large city and situated near a hotel/airport/mall. Most of the dream was focused on going to meetings in the mall. However, then it was time to leave and get to the airport. I was relishing the last few minutes in my grandparents' house when someone knocked on the door. It was a man who had stayed in the house before and left something upstairs there. I had a conversation with him about the upstairs that went something like this: "You slept up there? Isn't it creepy?" and he said "It wasn't creepy at all". I told him it had been my grandparents house when I was a kid and I was terrified when I had to sleep upstairs so I hadn't gone up there. He said it was lovely, dashed up the stairs to get what he had forgotten and told me he was relieved that he had made it with time to spare because he had 7 minutes before his plane left. I stood there thinking "You can make your plane in 7 minutes?? and go through security and everything? No way" and then realized that I had only one hour to make my own plane and hadn't packed yet. Then the dog woke me up.

Dream two was much shorter but very detailed. I was in a parking lot and I was talking to somebody at his car. No idea who he was, he was insignificant in the dream. I saw a guy getting ready to break into my car and walked over to him. As I walked up, he had gotten into the driver's door and hooked something up to my car. I said "Are you going to keep doing that if you know that I'm the owner of the car?" and he said "Umm.. no" and I asked him what he was doing and if he could show me how people break in. So he showed me the thingamabob that he used to unlock the door. He explained to me that he was only going to steal oil from my car and not enough that I'd notice but that the value of oil was so high right now that he could just take a little bit from every car and he would have lots of money. He showed me how he does it. Then he popped a panel off the side of my car that I didn't even know existed. It was for storage and could fit a ton of luggage, kind of like the luggage area that a charter bus has. I asked him why he was going in there and he said there are always drops of oil there. He got a tissue and soaked up the drops of oil with the tissue. I asked him "That little drop of oil is worth saving and selling?" and he said "Absolutely" and then the dog woke me up.. again.

I have been remembering my dreams way too often for the past couple of months. It's pretty exhausting sometimes. I've remembered most of them for the past 2 weeks. Weird, isn't it?

I've heard that you remember them if you wake up during them.

They still don't always stick, in my experience. If I don't tell someone about them first thing, they fade away.

I had another dream about my sister going through recruitment. She was actually warming up to the idea and kept telling me all of her pre-conceived notions about the different chapters. She used really weird code names that didn't stick to any specific theme. I know one of them was "Singapore." Then she decoded them and they all matched up with the chapters her school really does have in real life. Weird!

Oh man, oh man, I wish she'd just go through recruitment! She's so stubborn.

I usually remember mine, because they are general nightmares. When I was little I had genuine night terrors and now I have nightmares, but they are extremely vivid and detailed, and I can remember the setting (which is almost always huge and not a place I've seen before, though it's usually made up of houses/buildings/locations I've been to all mashed together) from one I had last week right now.

Yep. It's always nice to start the day after a dream about your whole family dying. Why my subconscious is apparently seriously depressed is beyond me.

In my dream last night I stole my sister's horse and went galloping through Civil War era New York City. Totally bizarre. I don't even ride.

I keep dreaming each of my family members die. Each night it's a different person.
