Congratulations to your daughter and ADPi! How exciting to be able to share your sisterhood with her!

Since this thread had turned in to a discussion on various diseases, I wanted to share that Dora did indeed get sick. They did not share any make-up, but her TTX group spent all of their time together in the holding area between parties. They all came down with the sniffles/a cold. She was pretty miserable on bid day. My advice to future PNM's, please get plenty of rest before recruitment. My daughter went into it with no sleep. She also missed many meals as the dining halls were closed by the time recruitment was over. A trip to the student Health Center is in her future.

Just wanted to update, Dora was initiated this weekend with my pin. I was not able to attend the ceremony. I made arrangements with the Pledge Educator(old terminology) for Dora to have my pin and when I got it out to give to the PE, I noticed that the enamel on the Delta had worn off. So it literally says A Triangle Pi. How ironic! I am thrilled that we will always have this bond. There is another daughter. Will she be an ADPi as well? Only time will tell.

I'm sorry that you weren't able to attend her initiation, but how special that the NMC (new member coordinator) was able to give her your pin. What pin did she select for herself?

Congratulations on your daughters initiation.
