He may actually be a good member of an org after being initiated. Its that hurdle of getting initiated that just became the pole vault.

It has been a while since I've been in college, but I remember LOTS of saying the right thing, being at the right place and PROVING YOURSELF for NPHC interests. Many of my friends thought about the organizations they wanted to join for months and years before actually making line. They (sometimes desperately) wanted to be liked by the members, so they would be chosen for membership. This guy played with fire by hanging out with someone's girl. There are some guys who wouldn't feel comfortable with just that much interaction. But hey, I don't know the people involved and this may not be a big deal to any of them.
Maybe he would make a good member, but he doesn't sound like a great brother.
