ucf0405's recruitment story
hey everyone! i know there's already another ucf pnm writing her story so i guess ill add mine too. =]
Rush starts this week Aug 16 and i am REALLY excited! No one in my family has ever been involved within the Greek community so I'm the first generation in my family to go through recruitment!  I am a transfer which i know will give me a disadvantage with some of the chapters, but i know in the process ill get to meet some wonderful women.
we have 10 sororities here at ucf:
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Epsilon Phi

Greek forum is tomorrow and i get to meet my rho gamma. Ive been waiting for this week all summer!

Small note here (and I'm not sure if you just made a typo), but it is Alpha Epsilon Phi, not Pi.
I wouldn't want you to call them the wrong thing!

You know, we typically get quite a few UCF PNMs here and we have had PNMs end up knowing each other in real life, being in the same Rho Gam groups, and even ending up in the same chapter.

I've enjoyed reading the UCF GC posts over the last few years, especially when they lead me to new sisters... (Hi UCFLove!)
Remember to have fun and relax as much as you can in the heat and humidity. I'm sure you'll find the perfect activities to fit your personality, whether as part of the UCF Greek community or not....
I was independent until my senior year (by choice, as I declined a bid my freshman year during formal recruitment). I became a colony member during my last semester at UCF, and proceeded to become a very active alumna over the last 15 years. During my first 3 years, I was Homecoming Assistant Director of Events, and an active member of CAB. I met SOOOOOO many people that by the time I joined the Fraternity, I was already well-established on campus.
The point is, UCF has so much to offer and Greek life is not the only way to achieve "social success."

hey everyone tonight was greek forum and i met up with my group/rho gamma.
My rho gamma is so sweet and MOST of the girls seem realyl down to earth.
I did however feel really uncomfortable talking to two of the girls. Reason being that they lacked decorum. Both were making rude comments during the skit and one of them had the nerve to bash some of the chp right in front of our rho gamma! It was embarrassing. Besides that incident im really looking forward tomorrow!
