I knew what this was before I even opened the thread.
That being said, I'm a little confused. Did you leave school with all your fees paid? I don't know why you would have been "dismissed" as in most cases like yours, a member would automatically become an alumna. If the judiciary process took place in the spring, you weren't an active chapter member there when it happened and therefore your alum status should not have hinged on it. I think your regional person dropped a ball here (i.e. I don't think they reported your leaving school properly) and is trying to cover her ass.
Contact your national HQ ASAP, explain what happened and when (writing up a timeline and emailing it would be helpful) and hopefully it'll work out.
p.s. I always think of Delaware as the "no tax on records/tapes/CDs" state and think that's what should be on their license plates instead.
