BTW, like your location.
Yours as well.

Do you find adults doing this?

"I'll call you back as soon as I can" expresses some insistence to get back to the person. "At my convenience" expresses that my message is an inconvenience.

Yep. The culprits have been teenagers to adults...like 50+.

PS-I'm totally cool with your voicemail saying that. Because my beef is with the voicemails that do this: "Hey, what's up?" Pause (which is long enough for me to respond with "Nothing, really, you?) "Nothin...but hey this is actually my voicemail, so leave a message!"

Not. Cool.
I will kill a bitch over that.

I'm guilty of that, though, circa 2001.

But that's when it was "cool" and I had absolutely no remotely professional calls coming in.

Yeah, I've seriously considered it. One of my sis-daughters got a few voicemails that started out with..."FNRIWRY47382TRYWIBFHREJBGFHJEKBFHJ!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!" Or something to that effect.

Just like I hate the word panty. Call it underwear, call it something else other than "panty."

I also don't like the word "wasted" or "effed up". ex: folks at work on a Friday. "Yeah, man we're getting wasted/effed up tonight. We know you don't drink, but you never hang out with us. Come and hang out with us".

WTH? Now why would I want to be around folks like that, doing that type of mess?

ETA: Just say "We're going to the bar tonight. Do you want to go?" I still wouldn't go, though.

Dude, you don't bar hop? You don't know what you're missing.

When freshmen say it, fine...what gets on my nerves is people my own age and older who still "get wasted" routinely, and brag about it. I feel like once you have a college degree, it's time to start acting like a big kid. Or at least it's time to start attempting to.

I really, really cannot stand the word "impactful." Its not even a word, it sounds like some BS coined in a corporate motivational seminar.

I also don't understand people who say "rage" instead of "party" but that doesn't bother me so much. I'd just like to know how that came about.

I've never heard of "rage" being used in place of "party" (except in the case of drugs). That doesn't even make sense to me.

I can't stand "impact" as a verb. It's a losing battle.

A "rager" is used to describe a very intense, loud, busy party a la Animal House.

You "Hey, I hear you are having a party tonight?"
Me "It's not going to be a rager, just a few of us having some drinks"

I've always hated the word supper.
