I'd love to hear it. My hubby went to the U of A for two years and I love hearing his stories. You're a Chi-O? I've driven by the house several times. It's just lovely. Most of NWA is great; my inlaws are still there so we go out there when we can.

Yes I'm a Chi-O! I'm really excited for rush and to do some bragging on my chapter! Haha!
I believe the schedule for rush is like the following:

Aug. 15 - PNMs move into dorms.
Aug. 16 - Recruitment orientation in the morning/meet with gamma chi and group.
 Open parties that afternoon.
 Aug. 17 - Open parties.
Cut from 8 houses to 6.
 Aug. 18 - Philanthropy Day
Cut from 6 houses to 4.
 Aug. 19 - House Tour
Cut from 4 houses to 2.
 Aug. 20 - Pref Night
Strict silence from when parties start until preference card is signed.
Aug. 21 - Bid day in the Greek Theatre!!!

			I like this.
Y'all will do well this year, y'all have been tearing up rush the last several years.

Edit: I'm hoping to be up there for Bid Day this year, I don't usually miss it.

I hope so! We worked hard last year to get top grades, win Derby Days, Homecoming, and Greek Week! Hopefully our hard work will pay off with a great pledge class! But to be honest, with the amount of girls coming through this year I'm pretty confident that all or a large majority of the houses are going to get amazing girls.

I am in the midst of late night packing! Starting to get frantic because I leave on Saturday and have procrastinated once again. Work week officially starts on Sunday so if I find time to update during the week I will. Ohhh also something I'm sooooo excited about!!! We're granting a wish Sunday night! I am so thrilled beyond belief to be part of this experience. To actually meet the recipient and see their reaction is going to be unforgettable. I'll definitely try and update on that!!

Let's hear it for U of A recruitment!! Go Hogs!
Hootyhoo, good luck with your first experience "inside." My daughter is also experiencing her first time as an active (but down the street from you). I have tried to prepare her as best I can for the emotional turmoil of the week. Try to eat as healthily (is this a word?) as you can and drink lots of water. It's a marathon!

I imagine Hootyhoo is locked deep inside the house learning pnm info!
I spoke with my daughter and she is exhausted and cannot believe all the work and preparation that is involved from the 'inside."

She says everyone is tense and expecting panhellenic to dictate heavy cuts after round one. There is a sense of urgency to get to know the info on the pnms so they won't overlook someone.
