This is turning into a pretty serious discussion when somebody came on here just to ask about decorations.

And let's be honest, these are probably just decorations that we're talking about here. Banners, stuffed animals, etc. Stuff to look at while the girls are between parties, according to the OP. The girls, who will be exhausted with the whirlwind that is recruitment, probably won't remember much about them except that they were tired, nervous, and that their feet hurt while they were looking around at them. I understand that if this was someone's weeklong recruitment theme, including a skit, it could be a cause for concern however for decorations in a lodge I think that it is just fine, cute even, considering how little the girls will remember these things after recruitment is over.

It's what I still think, 3 pages into the thread.

I don't know if anyone wants me on the porch or not, but as the father of a daughter, I don't think I'd be favorably impressed with the image presented by a Victoria's Secret theme.

Always room for a disgruntled father, and we'll probably fuss over you, so be sure to bring Mrs. MC.

If this helps.

This is PINK branding:

Presuming they're not going to be showing underwear, it's mostly Pink, Silver and blingy.

This is Victoria Secret branding:

(Sorry, but writing on a butt never looks good.)

Passing you a lemonade...I'd make it a Guinness, but it's still morning here under the Carolina blue.

LOL. I agree. I hate that college women started doing that years ago. I don't think the sorority women in this thread were suggesting butt prints, though.

I also hate hate hate VS's PINK line.

LOL, no I know they weren't. But it did bring to mind the times I've seen women with their Greek letters across their butts -- and the discussions that have been had here about it.

Exactly - no one is telling the sororities they have to walk around in garter belts. One of our chapters that is definitely on the conservative side just did a VS theme for rush, so I'm guessing they don't really think of VS as an "underwear store."

We had Late Night with ASA as a skit...OMG...I don't how they let that one go. First off, we're obviously subliminally telling them they have to hang out with Sigma Chis. Not to mention we're advocating staying up late and not getting your sleep, possibly throwing watermelons off buildings, and general snarkiness.

Did anyone posting the creeds and wringing their hands actually LOOK at the pictures of what a Pink store looks like? Not to mention that Pink has a line of college shirts? Honestly, it's more sweats and tank tops than it is underpants. I think I'd be more upset by an American Apparel or Wal-Mart theme due to the well-known shady business practices of those particular companies.
