The women who are going through recruitment now had mothers who were mostly in college during the 80s. From what I understand, those were times when Greek life had membership challenges. As it has become more popular again plus with even more women in college, our generation will be producing more legacies, and that doesn't even count those who are legacies based on other relationships.

The 70s/very early 80s were when things kind of sucked for GLOs. By the late 80s/early 90s they were booming. The birth rate for late 80s/early 90s college-age students was lower, BUT a higher percentage of those people were going to college. So that kind of effed with the ebb & flow.
