They can get Taye to play one dad and some other random actor to play the other.

Yeah I know. Hence the blank. I just didn't think it made sense to call one dad and Idina Rachel's parents since other dad's more or a parent than Idina Even as the bio mom, she doesn't have any parental rights nor appear to really want any after her previous attempt.

Okay, I'm late, but finally got a chance to watch the finale this weekend. Loved it, and (all you hater young 'uns ) loved the Journey songs. I thought that was the perfect way to end the season, since that's what it started with.

True, which the judges made fun of. Although I thought Bohemian Rhapsody, as much as I like it, was much less interesting from a musical standpoint. Jesse was the only soloist. ND, on the other hand, mixed the solo lines up. ND was supposed to look earnest and full of heart, while VA was supposed to look like "soulless automatons."

But you've had a life-long relationship with her. I think Shelby's point was that it was too late to establish a real mother-daughter relationship with Rachel.

The rumor I heard is that he may be Emma's dentist beau.

Ditto on the "coming full circle" aspect of the season.
And I blame the announcer, he made New Directions sound just as dirty.

I found the quote. At Regionals, Sue announced the runner up this way: "From Fort Wayne, Indiana, the not-at-all stupidly named, Aural Intensity!"
Awesome.

I thought that John Stamos was playing the dentist?
PS if you can watch Episode 1 again, Rachel has a picture of her two dads. I didn't recognize them, but perhaps someone can watch and see if they look familiar.

Since it was the pilot, odds are it's just a picture and they'd cast other people for the parts, but I'm trying to find the picture online. Someone had to have screen capped it.

Maybe Stamos is playing the dentist. The rumor I read could have been mere speculation.
And here's the photo of Rachel and her dads:

Can't wait until the next season of Glee! Don't like the schedule being changed to Thursday nights, though.
Sue Sylvester has changed my life! Thanks to her, I now know one can not only wear a track suit everyday, but also pair it with a snazzy string of pearls for a day-to-evening look.

Hence why I noted it (Idina and Taye playing parents) is a fantasy in my head that has nothing to do with the actual plot.
So when does this thing come back? I may actually watch this show regularly.

I Thought the Thursday timeslot was only for the summer?

If this is true, I'll have to whip out my celebratory track suit.

per eonline...
In tonight's episode (which I was on set for—playing a zombie!) we'll learn that Jayma's character, Emma, is "dating" her dentist. And that dentist will indeed be one Mr. John Stamos, who will appear in season two in a recurring role.

Taye Diggs and Jonathan Groff info...
With Idina Menzel's Shelby having adopted Quinn's baby on the season finale of Glee, there's a good chance this actress will return to the Fox smash this fall.
But will she bring her famous husband with her?
Taye Diggs was asked that question by Kristin Dos Santos of E! News and replied: "I would love to do it. I love the show; I'm a straight up fan. It's so enjoyable to watch and to see a show for people who to sing and dance. Plus, I love how they integrated Idina into the show."
Meanwhile, producers have said that they "definitely" want Jonathan Groff to reprise his role as Jesse St. James on season two of the show.
