OOOHHHHH... Abebooks! I like Al libris, too, but they sometimes drive me crazy with their daily ads.
I just counted the number of bookcases (full size) in my mother's house: 26 - about half are genealogical in nature. I used to say she had the most genealogical books of any non-Mormon who ever lived.
In my house, I only have 13 - but that will increase quickly, when I get the books I want from my mother's house there.
I mentioned a headboard I'm designing. It centers around this:
I have the bed platform (with storage drawers underneath), I just need a wedge type storage part between the shelves & the mattress, and a proper "box" under the shelves to make sure nobody's killed in the middle of the night by a falling bookcase and volumes like
