OK, have to know: what's Jerry World? All I can think of is a theme park dedicated to either Jerry Seinfeld or Jerry Lewis.

not gonna lie, i thought the same thing. and i think both could be awesome. a theme park full of yadda yadda yaddas, naps under desks and being the master of one's domain could work. i think.

Didn't B&N close all of the B. Dalton stores? I think that, by the end, all the stores left were pretty crappy.

Ha! Hopefully, they'll get Collins, Center, and Ballpark fixed. I went to Sherlocks this weekend and it was a jumbled mess.

I really don't have much room to speak about roads and traffic (I am in Dallas now), but that place is truly a mess. Can't wait for the Superbowl

As far as I know....no there is no Half Priced Books here (that is what HPB stands for, right? lol). But then again, I always just end up going to B&N, so if there is one, it's probably on one of the far ends of town, but I doubt it.

Shooot all those reasons don't compare to the fact that I'm in West TX, so that should be a reason you WANT to visit.

OMG Waldenbooks was my store!!! I'd go to the mall just for Waldenbooks. The last one we had closed down about 10 or so years ago

I sold back two books once (one was brand new) and I got maybe $2 or $3. It saddened me.

Um, I don't really see the difference between Border's and B&N. They're both equidistant from where I live, so I go to which ever one is more accessible due to traffic at the time. Maybe I just don't spend time in them enough... they're both more than adequate for my needs, though.

I was like that at first, especially since we don't have a Border's here and I couldn't understand why my mom was RAVING about the one we go to in Tucson. But after going a few times, I see the differences.

The B&N here is mostly books (not saying they have more of a selection though), with a small CD section. The plus is that B&N sells Starbucks.

The Borders we go to (Park Place Mall if anyone is familiar with Tucson) has an adequate book selection, but it has an awesome Movie/CD section, along with scrapbooking and a lot of 'gag gifts.' I bought my aunt a 'moochers fork' (a gag gift of a fork that extends 2 feet for people who love to eat off of others plates). The con is this Borders sells Seattles Best, which I don't necessarily enjoy drinking.

The only other difference, is that I can't stay in Borders for very long because the coffee smell permeates throughout the whole store and ends up giving me a headache. I haven't found that at B&N (although our B&N's lighting affects me).

There are maybe two B&N's in DC proper and neither of them are convenient to enough things I like to go to. The last time I went to B&N was because somebody gave me a gift card for my birthday like three years ago.

My point was that my B&N's don't have music and DVDs, only books. I usually go for all three.

I hate the smell of coffee period, and I can tell you that the three different Borders I go to in/around DC don't have a noticeable coffee smell at all (other than the smell of books). I love their gifts and non-book items, too.
