This e-book battle could be avoided if e-books were done away with.

My bookshelves cry out in need of a solution.

Actually I'd really like to be able to read magazines/comics/newspapers on a reader. It's something that could actually get me to buy comics or subscribe to a newspaper. Going to need color support though and i know that's not fully there yet for the readers. (Or wasn't last i checked)

I've had my nook for a few months and LOVE it. The touch screen is incredibly easy (easier than my Blackberry Storm) and the internet connection is great. I love that I can surf the web and play games on it, and books are actually released on their release date to the nook (not always true with the Kindle... just ask anyone waiting for the new Sookie Stackhouse book! They had to wait a few weeks). I love getting the free books and being able to read for free in the stores, too. I've saved a lot of money on books by reading at the store. It takes seconds, literally, to download a book. The page turning buttons are in a great location (on both sides) so it's comfortable to hold and easy to navigate.

I was a naysayer until I got mine. While I love the feel of an actual book, the nook is so much easier when I'm traveling. I keep it in my purse and bring it everywhere.
