I assure you that Phi Mu (so, burburry, please stop making people think this) at Penn State has a lot of respect for ALL of the NPC organizations. If anyone here knows me, they know I feel this way and I always have. She must just be upset because I know our girls there are very respectful of the NPC.

As far as AOE goes, I'm sorry if your GLO was put down. You know that I respect that GLO, as well as, you. I wish you luck with your Engineering degree and know you will do great!

So, wait. She is a Phi Mu?!

We're not thinking that somehow her opinion reflects on anyone else's or Phi Mu's as a whole, but she's more than "just upset."

Wow. I am really bummed that things have turned this way. She and I have been talking on PM about recruitment and Greek Sing. Not once did she say one negative thing about another NPC. That is why I am really confused. I haven't really been around lately, so I had no idea what was going on. She sent me a PM telling me how upset she was with people. I had no idea what she was talking about, so I told her not to let people get her upset. Then I brought up how, as a Penn Stater, she helps the rest of Greek life raise tons of money for THON and how I am PROUD of my girls at Beta Mu (and the rest of the Greeks at Penn State).

I then just read this and sent her another PM letting her know I'm not pissed she said my name (because it's not a secret) but, that while I am happy she is proud to be a Phi Mu, EVERY NPC has something great to offer. I then told her that there are campuses with incredible Sigma Kappa chapters (one of my friends is from a chapter in Ohio) and that she needs to not say such harsh things about the other NPC GLOs on here. I am truly sorry if anyone was offended by her.

I feel compelled to say that you're missing the absolute insanity. Her opinions on Sigma Kappa or any other non-elite 5 sorority are meaningless.

This isn't really a matter of misplaced Phi Mu pride or something.

I think your posts in this thread are sweet and well intentioned.

However, I also think it's possible that you fell for the trollperp's trap. I seriously doubt that a real Phi Mu would type something like "just ask Aubrey" (which is an attempt to call you by name (assuming she really was talking about you) and name drop) in reference to her chapter sister who she only knows through GC and private messaging over a short period of time. Even if she researched you through the chapter you are both from, it would take a failed mental health evaluation for her to actually try to use the name in this thread. She could've typed "als463" if she was sincere and really wanted some backup (although the best backup is for her to shutup then she wouldn't need reinforcements).

I think she's probably a perp just as remmie_k is probably not really a PNM. But, if phimuburberry really is a Phi Mu and your chapter sister, it doesn't reflect on Phi Mu or your chapter at all, just as what the rest of us type (good or bad) only reflects on our GLOs to those who care way too much and can't see the forest for the trees.
