Wal-Mart, because it's so much closer to me than Target.

BTW, a consumer show that I saw last week compared all of the super grocery stores, and Costco was by far the least expensive. I wouldn't know - the closest one to me is about 15 miles away.

No contest, Target.

I'd have to go to STL or Chicago to try it. They're just generally supposed to be a good store. And they have an excellent return policy (used to be practically unlimited.)

Target. Love Meijer for groceries (I actually drive past WallyWorld to get to Meijer).

A good friend of mine has a Cosco membership, so I occasionally go shopping with her and then pay her back for whatever picked up (she puts it on her Cosco card so she gets cash back or something). I should just get a Cosco membership, but I do most of my shopping during lunch and Cosco isn't near my work...

Well maybe, but don't you pretty much have to buy everything in bulk? If you don't have a large family, the cost of finding someplace to store it and the amount of wasted/spoiled food far outweighs the savings.

Large family or freezer/pantry space. Although I do know people who share a membership and split the purchases from warehouse clubs like that.

Yep, I got none of that.

Heh, ditto. It is occasionally worthwhile to tag along with someone and pick up things you use a lot anyway, whether it's granola bars or TP. But not worth even the 35 a year for me at this point.

not really. We have a family of 3 (sometimes 4) and we shop very frequently at Sam's. It's great for things like drinks (sodas, waters, etc) cause it runs cheaper.

It's not necessarily selling things in bulk, but the things you do buy usually come in a bigger quantity.
