I have the HD2 (from T-Mobile) and through the B&N app it comes with, you can download and read books from the phone. It comes pre-loaded with 3 e-books already (Dracula, Pride and Prejudice, and something else) but you can purchase whatever e-book and read it from your phone.

Phones are too small, even browsing the web my on vaguely blackberry shaped Samsung I have to scroll way too much.

I'd want a Kindle or Nook or Sony or something but they're all proprietary about their formats and i haven't done the research yet due to the price range. Also reading on a backlit screen is harder than the eInk.

I thought the thing about the Nexus One was that you HAD to buy it directly from Google, and that it would not be in stores?

Live-in has it and totally loves it - he's a tech geek and really loves that he can change all the settings himself and it's all open source.

I've had my current phone for almost 4 years now.

I have a Kindle (actually, it's Live-in's until I save enough to buy it from him so he can buy an iPad, but since he doesn't like the Kindle he lets me use it anyway), and I like it very much. The difference between us, though, is that he likes to read comic books which can't be read on the Kindle, and I like to read books and the backlight hurts my eyes eventually.

I have an eBook on my iPod Touch right now but I find I can't concentrate on the iPod long enough to actually do any significant reading. I've been "reading" Madame Bovary for about 6 months now and am only in chapter 8, and I swear to God I try to pick it up and read it at least once per week.

Oooh hmmm...maybe I won't read those books then lol. I have them on there to look like I actually use my phone for more than just texting and getting on facebook! lol.

But then again I'm not a fan of Dracula, P&P or Little Women.
