I believe you're wrong.

Well, that's it folks, apparently the thread is over.

But your stupidity is just beginning.

But, as I said, "it's really dumb to actually debate the intricacies of this topic with members of other GLOs. Do whatever your GLO policies and traditions encourage. Simple and plain."

In her defense, she may be talking about specifically NPC organizations. I'll admit that prior to joining GC, I had also believed it was against sorority rules for EVERY sorority (and even fraternities). That's the problem. I feel like I got so much more Greek knowledge from coming to this site and being a member for so long, regarding policies of other organizations (even checking out the beautiful badges and what they can and can't do for them-thanks to the badges thread). Don't get me wrong. My sorority taught me so much about Greek life but, I feel like as an Alumna, I have learned so much more. I would figure that's what she was talking about. That's just my thought.

Then Alumyum should specify.

Interestingly enough, I can't speak on the smoking and drinking in letter practices of other NPHC sororities (beyond what individuals and particular chapters do).

But even NPC organizations do not make the smoking stipulation, and in many NPC organizations, stipulations like this appear in chapter bylaws.

For my chapter, according to the bylaws, I could not smoke without crossing my legs and had to hold the cigarette in my hand the whole time rather than hang it out of my mouth. No joke. No mention of whether or not I was allowed to smoke with my legs crossed and the cigarette in my hands if were wearing letters.

Debating rules like this makes no sense. If an org has a rule, nationally, then they do, and if they do not, it's just up to the chapters to decide what's best for them. End of story. Expecting every other org to follow your chapter's rules is stupid.

I think the point that these are often chapter rules is important here, you're not just arguing with every other org, but within your org as well.

It's silly.

That is really interesting. It just goes to show how chapters and other GLOs have different rules.

Bow, minions, Dr. Phil has spoken. There is to be no more discussion.

I SAID BOW.

If I used irritating internet abbreviations I think ROTFLMAO would be the appropriate one. Apparently this is the sandbox...but I'm all for getting in touch with my inner kindergartner, so I'm game.

Here's two tips:
1. Take your own advice.
2. Just don't be such a rancid bitch. Go pet a kitten or something.

PS-Taking your own advice means strapping on those big girl panties and not responding. Challenge! Can the all powerful do it? And go...

I saw this thread bumped and my first thought was, "Ugh, hasn't this died already?"

So does my uncontrollable laughter make me a minion?

@Dr. Phil: Master, how can I serve you?

Wow, is there any reason you insist on being such a bitch all the time?

Yep. Dr. Phil is an insufferable bitch to me without fail, so I amuse myself by giving the same in return. Hey, when no one is a complete cow to me, I'm sweet as honey.

Of course, I also remember at all times this is the internetz. Don't take it all so seriously. I'm sure Dr. Phil acts like an actual adult in real life, as do I. This is an internet forum...it's ok to let off some steam.

No, I'm pretty sure I've thought you were a bitch every time you've posted. You just keep proving it, though.

Your point in this thread was wrong. Maybe drinking rules are more common but smoking rules definitely are not. There's no need to get your panties in a bunch about it, though.

In that case you might be too sensitive for an internet forum. I can't imagine how posts about things like service projects or social events can be bitchy, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Might as well find some way to entertain yourself. Don't get me wrong, tit-for-tat isn't limited to Dr. Phil by any means, it just seems that is one particular poster that is incapable of posting anything but "you're stupid" or "fuck off" towards me, so hey, might as well have fun with it. The day they post something civil, adult, and on topic in response to a post of mine they will of course get the same in return. It just hasn't yet happened. But every day is a new day!

So in response to what you've written here, I'll respond twofold:
-You're a bitch. You call people a bitch, therefore you are one. So, azgz, you are a bitch. I am a bitch. We are all bitches, let's sing and dance!
-You haven't read any of my posts, I'll guess, except the ones playing the Dr. Phil sandbox game, because your assumption of my "point" is incorrect. Though both of those ARE common "rules", "traditions", whatever you want to call them among individual chapters, that was in no way my "point" in this thread. If I get bored later I'll re-read to make sure I wasn't inordinately ambiguous in my posts, but I don't believe I was. And listen, in the interest of everyone having a good time...if you're going to get your panties in the mother of all knots, you might as well be the hall monitor for everyone on this thread who is throwing sand on the playground. I'm not the only one...come on, where's your righteous indignation at the other nasty posts in this thread? There's no satisfaction in a job half-done.

Again, this is the internetz. If someone responds to your posts consistently with "you're stupid", "you're a bitch", "you're dumb" etc. and you have a little fun with it, I won't judge you for it. It's a far more enjoyable experience when you chill out.

Kittens for everyone!

Now if that doesn't cheer you up I recommend stepping away from the computer screen. If kitties can't fix it, you're too worked up.
