I was wondering about the storyline, too.
It seemed like she did the video with the 3 male leads, he went on spring break, he came back helped her find her mom, now he's all pissed at her and gone. Did I get something out of order?

No.
I think it is just confusing because Funk was supposed to air after Dream On (when Jesse helps Rachel find her mom), but instead they aired Theatricality first. But then again, even if they had aired Funk first, Jesse's reasons for leaving Glee are that "no one took him seriously".

I guess Jesse did have scenes in Theatricality, but when they went back and re-edited it to go before Funk, they had to remove all of the Jesse scenes (since it really wouldn't have made sense). I hope on the DVDs, they put the order back correctly.

It makes me wonder if there was a scene in Theatricality of the glee club treating him badly or something.

I watched the teaser trailer and wished I didn't. It didn't show much, but I didn't want to know certain things!

Now that doesn't make sense. Since Theatricality was supposed to air after Funk, I can understand them taking the Jesse scenes out, but since it aired before Funk, it would have made more sense to keep the Jesse scenes in, because he was in the episode before, which was Dream On and he had made up with Rachel and was calling her his "girlfriend" again. Instead he was in Dream On, not in Theatricality and then in Funk and he left Glee somewhere in between and went back to Vocal Adrenaline.
