Great advice, AZ-Alpha Xi. Here's my $.02:

I greatly encourage you to work with your employer now to see about adjusting your schedule for that week; recruitment is a few months away. You want to maximize your chances, coming through as a sophomore. (Aside: by the way, all the houses at UofA are ideal houses, so you don't want to miss any of them.)

Last year approximately 1200 PNMs signed up for recruitment at the University of Arizona. It is not unheard of for sophomores to receive bids, but keep an open mind and be prepared to be cut or not invited back to some houses simply based on your class standing. If your GPA is less than stellar, expect first round cuts as well.

Good luck!

What she said. As a sophomore you will be at a big disadvantage and a shortened party schedule will hurt you even more. I know it isn't fair, but you should try your hardest to find an alternative to working then. You have a couple of months to make alternate plans.

Scratch what I said earlier. I just read your previous posts on this topic. Good luck becoming a Theta or Pi Phi. I'm sure those "ideal" chapters will give you a bid no matter how much time you have to spend there.

Just had to do this cause the bear thing fits together so well.

Ha ha that's hilarious, even though it's not that kind of bear. This girl will be lucky to get a bid at all as a sophomore. It's hilarious that she's got her heart set on two of the top chapters. I can't believe she doesn't have Gamma Phi and Alpha Phi in her dreams too.
