The guy posts a "campbelllitigation" e-mail address? He's trolling for lawsuit customers, if you ask me.

How will "out of state people" bring diversity?

The emphasis on "diversity" is to throw away standards and become blinded by color (or religion, or sexual standards, or what have you). Disregarding that diversity is a completely meaningless and retarded term, the chapters will begin pledging people from different backgrounds when people from different backgrounds match the chapters standards and interests.

You're arguing from a kneejerk reaction to the word "diversity" without paying attention to what she actually said. There's no way for a chapter to know if people from different backgrounds match the chapter's standards and interest unless those people come out for recruitment. She didn't say anything about changing pledging standards to achieve any kind of diversity. She simply said:

In other words, maybe the chapters will get more opportunities to see what women from different backgrounds match (or don't match) their standards and interests.

Meanwhile, your use of the word "retarded" drops your credibility significantly.

I wasn't referring to her.

That's why it's one sentence in response to what she said, and two lines down, what I felt about diversity.

That would be YOUR kneejerk reaction to what I said.

Aww I'm sorry. Your poor arguments dropped your credibility awhile back.

IDK. To some, "out of state" = national origin.

No jerking of my knees. Just reading what you wrote and responding.

I think it's also the idea that people who come from outside of the culture of these campuses will have different views and in this case possibly be more open to/encouraging of diversity within their chapters. Personally I think for that to happen from the outside would require either some big huge transitional event or for all southerners to stop joining GLOs, otherwise the majority is always going to be from within the campus culture.

My 2 cents.

I took it to mean that she became a member after transferring schools.

However, the way she brought it up so smugly, I'm not buying it. lol.

She's claiming that although she was at Bama and was going to go through rush, she transferred and joined Sigma Kappa at mysterious other school. Which, btw, would have required either not attending Bama at all, in which case the transferring was a lie, or transferring spring semester, rushing/COBing and joining just this spring. Not impossible, just increasingly unlikely. All this based on her previous posts.

As she pulled it out as some sort of shocking 'sister card', I'm underwhelmed.

Ok. According to her posting history, she would have attended Bama fall 2009, and somewhere else 2010 (where I guess she pledged and initiated?).
