Their mother would drop them off on our front porch at about 6 weeks, and not have another thing to do with them! With the hard winter, she and about 4 others didn't make it.

And we're all allergic to cats!

Wow. So this particular mom would have kittens and drop them off to you at 6 weeks? How many of her kittens have you taken in?

It's funny because I'm allergic too.

I'm thinking that we were able to Trap-Neuter-Release five of them, and successfully home three; Lilac was returned or it would be four. But there's at least another five more who we don't feed. Right now, only Kaboodle, Silky (no pix of him - he's the one who bit me) and Callie get fed regularly. I'm not so sure how I'm going to do this when I move! There's a group home across the street, and I'm thinking that I can put food there once a day. I would be horrified if I ever saw one of them dead on the side of the road - finding Loni at the door was bad enough!

The doggums

So here are my troublemakers:

The one in white is the Willow Dog. We adopted him from a breeder as a puppy and spoiled him to the point that he is absolutely worthless. He's the Alpha and knows it. The dog can chew through anything and has actually given himself multiple small bowel obstructions from swallowing rawhide, stuffing from our couch, bedspreads, and any stuffed toy we've given him.

The one in blue is the Rascal Dog. We rescued him at a year old from a divorcee who didn't have time to spend with him. He is a little skittish and acts like an abused dog, but has warmed up to us after 8 years. He's actually the "good" dog.

These are jackets my husband bought for them in Tokyo that were way too small for them that we could barely get their arms through the holes!

I think they are going to be happy to get out of the mid atlantic region. They didn't care much for the snow.
