Ha! Love when wild animals get indoors! I guess it's better than the mice that frequent my house

It would not be such a big deal, except that quail live in families and the adult male freaked out and started making his God-awful quail screech, then the rest of the troop got all riled and starting screaming and squawking. It was quite a cacaphony.

Got the young quail out, safely. It happens this time of year; the babies are growing up but haven't quite figured everything out.

You have a lot to look forward to Mice generally get eaten by the rattlesnakes, or owls, or hawks, or other snakes. Not such a problem here. Packrats, on the other hand... ugh.

I have never seen a quail nor had one invade my kitchen... at least you can eat quail? (not that you did obviously)
