It's basically a chicken cordon bleu that's been fast-food-ized. Also, adding bacon. I don't want to eat it, but it's not really the end of the food world.

This. Plus I love the description of it being a "one-of-a-kind sandwich."

And YAY to see you here!!!

Yeah, people will fall for anything. I won't say it's disgusting but that sodium and bacon are a huge NO for me. But...I'll still try it if we're roadtripping and being forced into food aventurism.

Drolefile rocks. Now we need to find nittanyalum and others who have better things to do than visit GC.

I only come here for the praise and the adoration that is poured upon me at each appearance.

Also I now want bacon. Not chicken, but bacon.

KFC

Here's some interesting info on KFC that I found online. I am one of the thousands of Americans that used to think that the reason that KFC changed its name from Kentucky Fried Chicken was because it was under scrutiny from the FDA.

I never heard of the FDA thing, I just thought it was for PR reasons. Cool, I didn't know that. That sounds strange that Kentucky would do that.

I assumed it was for PR, too, silly me. Can you just imagine that amazing Think Tank: "Hey, if we trademark the word Kentucky, everyone of them Kentucky Fried Chicken stores would have to pay a tax!"

Then I started thinking how messed up the Pennsylvania Dutch aka Amish & Mennonites would be if they couldn't market with "Pennsylvania Dutch".

Which, in the long run, goes to one of my favorite truisms: never rejoice about any tax levied on anything - because the next tax might be something YOU would have to pay.

My guy & I have unofficially dubbed this the Food Porn Thread, although I'm claiming the trademark for when it spins off on its own!

I keep thinking that they are trying to cater to those of us who are limiting our carb intake and order things like a cheeseburger without a bun. However, KFC doesn't need to cater to us because it (and Boston Market) were already top on my list of places I can get no carb meals because you can get "just chicken".
