I did rally like Brent for a while last night, what with his enjoying being in China and his observations at the temple. But then there was the whole potty break thing. (I guess one person can't work on the detour if the teammate isn't there?)
Meanwhile, the brothers raced an absolutely awful leg. They walked around looking for the Garden Bridge for 2 hours before piggy-backing on the detectives?
The cowboys better win next week.

It seemed like she was allowed to keep looking if he wasn't present, but he wanted her to. And I am so pissed the brothers beat out the cops. The standing statues is what got the detectives.

I'm on the "anyone but the beauty queen" boat. I felt sorry for her when people were teasing her about her stupid answer years ago. I gave her some leeway in her behavior, but she has exhibited herself to be the most self centered person on the race, she is a whiney, complaining, immature b*tch. I mean come on, her boyfriend had to go to the bathroom so badly he was in pain and she's just telling him to suck it up?
And, the brothers were almost psycho in the cab!! Can you imagine how the cab drivers felt when they looked like they were about to break the plexi glass and commit murder? I'm sure it didn't help the cabdriver with his concentration on the driving!
UGGH! GO COWBOYS!!

I don't know. I did read one place that she couldn't search while he was gone, but I don't know if that's accurate.
I wish CBS would publish The Rules.

I agree. But . . .
remember Jen and Kesha, whose bathroom break in TAR14 cost them a spot in the final 3?

That's when they were running to the finish line, I would probably have peed my pants for the million then, but, Cait spent more time bitching about him having to go to the bathroom, while he did the pee pee dance, and neither one of them were really looking for the stamps. If she'd just agreed to go to the bathroom first, they could have spent that time productively.
Either way, they ended up finding their stamps first anyway, but they could have done it quicker if both were concentrated on the task for the entire time in the store.
I wonder if she had been the one in pain if he would have treated her that way, somehow I doubt it.
This blog is pretty funny and says things better than I:

The Shakespearian drama of the bathroom break. Once again, it was all about Caite. If she had shut her pretty mouth for a moment she’d have realized that two minutes of no one searching while she was accompanying Brent to the bathroom would be better than ten minutes of her searching alone while he crossed his legs and whimpered.

Oh, I agree. She was really counter-productive about it. I'm just saying I can sort of see me, if I were on the race, saying "Try to hold it in -- remember what happened to the last team that took a potty break."
But you, and the great blog entry, are exactly right.

Yeah, I know I'm quoting myself and bumping when I had the last post.
Apparently the rule is that unless otherwise allowed or necessary, like on a Roadblock, teammates must stay within 20 feet of each other for camera purposes. That would be why he couldn't leave without her.

I know, I was really rooting for the detectives. Definitely not the brothers. The sad thing is that if the detectives hadn't been so willing to work with the brothers with the first clue, they would STILL be looking for that darn bridge and having panic attacks in cabs. I was surprised not to see the detectives' counter come out though- it would've been great with the statues. Although they did fine without it.
Interesting rule, MC. I suppose that explains why she followed him over and didn't just stand at the entrance of the store waiting for him.
Brent & Caite are annoying (seriously, STOP telling us how smart you are- those comments would even make a genious look dumb), the brothers are annoying, and the cowboys are entertaining. And hey, they're learning some great vocabulary! So... cowboys for the win.

Dang, I really wanted the Cowboys to win.
^^Agree. Those were some pissed off lesbians. Although I did like how they wouldn't take Caite's apology. She wasn't sorry in the least.

The thing that I did not like about this episode was that it seemed that seat positioning on the plane pretty much decided the entire leg of the race. Each task appeared to take the same amount of time for each team, which was never really that long. For the final leg give me fewer tasks but ones which can vary widely in the time it takes to complete- as in 1-3 hours each. I recognize that there are always bad cabbies that can impact the race too, but I don't like that either. For a million bucks I really want to see them earn it in the final episode by truly outplaying the other teams. This just wasn't very interesting.
I was at the lesbians. Caite is far from faultless, but come on. They acted like a couple of 13 year olds when she tried to apologize and I can't believe they hold such bitterness an anger. I also don't think BC made a big mistake in U-turning them. They had just as much potential to be a threat as the other teams left.

Well, the blonde lesbian had the good sense to look embarrassed. There is a time to let it go - and the end of the race is that time. There's nothing to be gained by essentially saying you weren't that strong of a team (which you do when you say "You should u-turn a stronger team"). A calm "I don't believe you are sorry but I am going to concentrate on the good aspects of this adventure" would have been both gracious AND let the audience know that you didn't believe in the sincerity of the apology.

I don't think Caite had anything to apologize for. The Lesbians needed to learn that life is about all of the choices you make, and that includes the choice to be a complete and utter rude bitch to others. Fine if they want to be that way, but it was only a matter of time til someone put them in their place and unfortunately for them, it was on TAR. I probably would have done the same thing, actually, if someone had so insulted me.

I did love how Caite told the woman that if she was such a bad racer, why was she the one on the podium - shut her up good.
I wish the cowboys had won, but the brothers deserved it with the way that they played THAT leg of the race... Writing down all the boots and when they happened was really smart and should be taken note of for all future racers!

Yes to all of the above. Saved me some typing
One thing about the leg that I really did like, however, was that the clues were that- clues. They weren't "go to this address", they were more like the initial seasons of "figure out what this is". Like the Coit Tower clue, or even the music hall. I liked that.
The brothers were smart for writing everything down- but that was WAY too little to have to do for the last challenge. They've had some really complex memory ones in the past, which yes were miserable for some but at least it was more challenging and interesting.
I was so confused when the cowboy (Cord I think?) wouldn't walk ahead because the guy was in front of him (okay, I admit it- I can barely tell who's who in most same-sex groups because they always refer to them in pairs, and they rarely use each other's names!)... dude, this is a race and it's the last leg of the race. And they cut in front of you at the airport! Walk forward.
We were trying to figure out whether they'd get a penalty for moving up to first class. But I guess the rule is that you can't buy a first class ticket, not that you can't weasel your way into a free upgrade once onboard.
