I doubt anyone would have been focused on the shirt had the judge not brought it to the attention of everyone.

That is contempt of court.

She should have been thrown out of court if she refused to turn the shirt inside out. Not jailed.

She didn't refuse. The judge said that it was "too late" to fix the situation.
