As a former new member I can't believe that I am writing advice, but here goes:
Use the search function to see if there is any specific information about your college or university. Go to your university's Panhellenic site to learn about the sororities that your school has on campus. Look at each sorority's website to get a basic grasp of the houses. In general, look at the first threads on this site (i.e. What Not to Say) to answer general questions. Then come back for specific questions.
