I guess I didn't read "legacy" into the OP's question. She was asking if "having parents who were Greek, helped."

I still say, yes. Having Greek parents helps in the same way that having a parent who is good at math will help when you need help with your math homework. If you need some math advice, tutoring, etc then I think a math-oriented parent can help, advise, tutor better than someone who can only add with a calculator.

But, if you are asking about being a legacy and what that can mean for a pnm, well, that puts another wrinkle in the discussion...and has been discussed in other threads.
