Don't jump to conclusions. The Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindeloff both said that don't be fooled by the whole black/white thing because it doesn't necessarily represent who's good or evil.

Which is what I keep thinking...

If you look at Locke/smoke monster, he hasn't killed any of the main characters. And his goal at the moment is to get people off the island.

And Richard was the only one spared on the Black Rock. The entire crew was killed, but Richard was left alone and freed by the MIB.

And let's face it... Jacob was the one who brought everyone to the island in the first place.

So... I'm not entirely convinced that Jacob is the good guy in this entire scenario...

I feel like from this weeks episode it's very clear that his goal is to get himself off the island, what happens with the rest of the folks, I'm not sure he cares. Ex. how he basically told Claire she can do whatever with Kate once he is off the island.

But Kate's name wasn't in the cave, so she isn't a candidate. Locke seems to care about the candidates, too, as well as his creepy evil friends (fake Claire and fake Sayid).

Pretty sure Jacob visited her. I don't remember if it said her name or not, but I know Locke told Claire it wasn't there.

I guess "care about" is being used loosely, but I have no doubt that his concern isn't of a loving, I don't anything to happen to you ever, nature. He made it clear that he needs 3 more people to get off the island. He "has" Kate, Sayid, and Jin (well, had Jin). It is of no coincidence that Jack, Hurley, and Sun are on the other island/not in his camp. That is why in the last episode he went to see Sun and tried to bring her over to reunite with Jin. He's using whatever he can to lure each of the (former?) candidates to his "side". Somehow them being reunited will help him get off the island.

I agree about MIB luring each of the candidates to his side.

I don't think that the reunion of the candidates will help him get off the island, though. As long as there is a candidate for Jacob's replacement, MIB is stuck on the island.

Maybe there is something special that'll happen when the candidates are reunited. Part of me hopes that's the case, anyway. But, I think MIB's goal here is to remove all the candidates from their candidacy position (whether by luring them to his side, by killing them, or by finding a way for them to leave the island). Then, once there aren't any more candidates, MIB will be able to leave.

Maybe he wants to get them all together and kill them all at once so he no longer has an adversary (the Jacob replacement). Haha I dunno...

This link has a funny Lost reference.

Oh and btw, I've been showing EVERYONE that video that annabella posted.
