I hesitate to call this a retro story because I don't want to feel old yet :)

My room never got a call so my roommate and I both had received bids. We changed into comfortable jeans and tee-shirts (like our Rho Gammas had instructed us to do) and headed-over to the student center. Our Rho Gammas did their reveal and mine was a Trouble, which explained how she knew I was a legacy. Then she handed us our envelopes and counted to three before we could all open them.

CANDY LAND!!!

Basically the whole group began jumping-up and down simultaneously. And we all ran outside and boarded our appropriate bus that lead us to the field house, with the now affiliated Rho Gammas leading us all in Candy Land cheers for the whole ride. Inside the field house, each group was met by all the actives with large wooden letters and bags filled with Candy Land goodies as well as our bid day shirts. After pictures, we were led back to the bus and taken to the house for more bid day festivities. Looking back, it was defiantly one of the best days of my life to date, especially since my roommate did not get a bid to Candy Land. This was a start towards a great 4 years.
