I went through formal Rush my second year, and couldn't take my Theta bid because I was running and eventually won a Miss America local title. When I was holding orientation for the girls who would eventually take my title, I ran across a Theta who has rushed me, and she convinced me to come back to Theta. I was a 4th year, graduating the next December, so I had a total of 4 quarters left, and they took me back. Another 4th year pledged with me, we were in a class of 16 almost all being Freshman, but it was great being around all the young girls. I know many houses don't take older girls becaues they don't think they will be active, but my pledgesister and I, who are the older ones, are two of the most active girls in the house. I've been to almost EVERY single event so far, including all Greek Week sporting events...and hold a small position in the house. I've stepped up when I've been needed and will be helping with Rush this year.
Sigma Kappa took an older transfer who was married, and Kappa Sig also took a 4th year graduating in December...
It should matter what the year, I know it does in many houses, thank God I finally found Theta Love.
