Go ahead and comment. I hate dumb rednecks. I don't like the ghetto drug dealers either, but I'll bet you can take a drug dealer who lives in the ghetto, and put him or her at the top of a major corporation and he or she would be successful, and that's because numbers are numbers, you either get it or you don't. But the trailer trash wouldn't have a freaking clue. They're too dumb to even spell GED. Idiots!

Since when does drug dealer = ghetto? Not all drug dealers are 'ghetto'. Is it that you just don't like the Ghetto ones? Or is it that you consider anyone who sells drugs ghetto? Serious questions.

Since when has there been different kinds of drug dealers? Drug dealing is drug dealing. Which, to me, equals ghetto. Ghetto, trailer trash, and low class people don't have a color, to me. Max targets one race of people, and it's not based on race. Low class is low class, regardless of anyone's race.

I think she's trying to say that "ghetto" doesn't automatically mean "drug dealer"
There are people from ghettos who turn out ok. There are also people from affluent neighborhood who end up selling drugs or being bad seeds.

o.k. well, this. I was just trying to get Max to see that low class doesn't mean "African American". Max constantly relates black people to low class, and welfare, and I was just trying to get Max to understand that low class welfare users are not always black.

The majority of "ghetto" residents are law abiding citizens but whether they turn out "ok" depends on what resources are available.
Cheerfulgreek isn't talking about the neighborhood "ghetto" and is speaking figuratively, equating "criminality" with a "ghetto" mindset.
I see what she means, although her language would be subject for a huge debate in some professional and nonprofessional settings.
