Please keep in mind that just because a chapter can take free upper classmen doesn't mean they will.

So no hope for me then :(

I am currently a sophmore and wanted to rush as an incoming junior. I guess thats not going to happen for me? I am a little picky about which sorority i join. Does anyone know the recruiting process for UT Tri-Delts?

No one is being rude to you.

We're giving advice.

For what it's worth, we get questions about UT ALL.THE.TIME.

Esp. from upperclassmen who think they'll have their pick of the sororities in recruitment. This is not the case at UT. A junior is going to have a tough time. Moreso a "picky one."

to Lady Longhorn

Instead of telling me how things are going to horribly wrong for me, I wish you would give me a few pointers.

What I mean by that is that as a Junior you will be lucky to get a bid from ANY sorority. You will not be in a position to pick and choose unless of course you have the soul of Mother Theresa in the body of a supermodel with the brain of Einstein and all the girls in a chapter are already your BFFs and OMG will D-I-E if they don't get you.

Tri Delta's membership selection process is private.

I'm going to be honest, if you are picky, you'd better become unpicky very soon because you will not have as many options as your typical freshman PNM is going to have.

Being open-minded is a good thing. It's not a good idea to go through recruitment only wanting certain sororities because those may not even be interested in you.

If you're going to "be picky" and exclude chapters or only focus on certain ones, prepare to go without a bid (especially as a junior).

Good luck.
