I'd go with the frame as well. Getting a good frame is one of those extra, extra things you always say you'll get when you have the money, but you never really do. Jewelry -- you can and will get that on your own if you really want to.

Note: A collegian generally won't have some place to hang their certificate until well after they graduate. You know, concrete walls and all.

Sidenote: I recently discovered that the same people who make the frames for my university's degrees also makes them for my fraternity's shingles.

Frame! Being in the process of getting my certificate framed, it is a lot of money and I would love if somebody else would like to do it for me.

Despite the great points about jewelry for a sorority girl and a frame matted piece for the fraternity guy we are going with frames for each of them!

Primary reason... the "sorority girl" is a pretty serious student/person and hopefully is going to have a pretty cool office someday that will be a great place for a framed initiation certificate and assorted diplomas.

The "fraternity guy" wouldn't be caught dead with jewelry Greek or non Greek so a frame is an easy choice.
