Therefore, it should be no surprise that the same thing happens with families. We can't socialize people to various extents and teach them military tactics but then expect them (without extensive therapy--and I know some therapy is offered/provided) to transition out of it effectively and be able to separate military from nonmilitary. Then people expect people in the military to retain things like discipline and apply it to everyday life but not apply anything else they learned. Good job with that.

Yes, I read about this as well and think it's definitely true. Our "old" pledge process has the military written all over it when you think about it.
