thanks! It has been fun seeing all the messages on FB, twitter, etc today. I think I enjoyed all those notes more than my own birthday messages this year! (sign that I am indeed getting old!)
Also, the older I get, the more I appreciate the bravery of our Founders. They were in a climate were they were not respected/wanted in their academic setting. In addition, they were the first ones to publically create a Fraternity for women. Just thinking about them walking into chapel that morning proudly wearing their new badges as all those men sat there in shock just gives me goosebumps!
It is also humbling to think about what the founders of all of our organizations created. Do you think they had any idea that it would last 140 years and do so much good both for members and for society?

i think all our founders would be flabbergasted to see how successful the organizations they began are. i think that they would be very pleased.
