*Whew* I was really worried for you for a while, and frustrated with google for not letting me report it. I ended up asking the hacker what your and my screen name were, and never heard another peep.
Hope all's well with BamaDaughter - and the others, too!

Good luck to those who were handed bid cards 2 minutes ago!

My DZ daughter at the University of Alabama will graduate with a degree in health care management and a 3.89 GPA. She is currently applying to grad school.
She is likely to become engaged to a Lambda Chi Alpha alum (my Dad's fraternity at Wesleyan University) in the next year. He is currently attending law school at Samford University. All goes well, I am happy to report.

My impression was that she simply likes Delta Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta way above #3, who consistently ranked last or near the bottom of her list. At no time during our conversation did she say that #3 was unpopular or "ranked" low on campus. Sorority #3 may, in fact, be a "popular" house on campus. I don't know.
She has two close friends in recruitment. Lets call them ABC and XYZ.
ABC had two selections available on Preference Day: Kappa Delta and #2, a sorority she always ranked last during elimination rounds. ABC named only Kappa Delta at the end of Preference Day.
XYZ had Delta Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta and #3 (it may have been a different #3), like my daughter, as her options on Preference Day. XYZ similarly rejected #3 as an option following Preference Day.
As of 2:00 PM EST, none of the girls received the dreaded call signifying they would not receive a bid. Hopefully, they are past that point.
At 2:45 PM EST, they are supposed to meet with the recruitment organizers.

I don't doubt that those are your daughter's words and not yours, but I still believe that they indicate #3 is a weak chapter. We hear this with just about every recruitment story that comes through Greekchat so unless you want to out Group #3, excuse me if I don't believe that #3 is the most popular group that your daughter just decided she couldn't be a part of no matter what.
P.S. Glad your daughter at Bama has done so well. I was really disgusted at how terribly you were treated over her affiliation.

My youngest daughter at Ohio State received a bid from the house she picked as her absolute favorite #1 from the very beginning of recruitment.
She will pledge ..... Delta Gamma

Congrats to your OSU daughter on her #1 choice! And sounds like your DZ daughter is doing well down south too.

Hey y'all! I'm so sorry I did an awful job of keeping this a live thread. All four rounds, I had full schedules. After pref round, I only ranked two of the three just because I didn't feel as strongly about the third. So I'll bypass the boring part and get to the most important thing.. I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I am a...
