I agree with you to an extent. However, the chapter presidents all voted for this, not the Greek Life Office.

Fraternities are facing lots of bad press througout the country. Our IFC officers decided that this was a way to step up and combat that problem.

Also, there are a number of fraternities at IU that dont do ANYTHING. They dont do community service, intramurals or even make decent grades . They might as well just drop out of IFC and become social clubs.

Fraternities claim to be philanthropic organizations so I dont totally have a problem with this. I think when you have the large houses that we have, it can be tought to get all 90 people to put aside time for a project.
