I would say no for the reasons above. Besides, you don't want every random girl, but girls who resemble or will enhance your chapter. Have the women make a list of every outstanding woman that know on campus that is unaffiliated. Then invite them to (and welcome them to bring a friend along-many girls hate to attend things alone and this will bring in more similar type girls) to an event that is all about recruitment for your chapter, but does not in anyway seem about recruitment for the women in attendance.
