The kids remember the whole story well. Every year when we pull them out with the Christmas decorations, one of them makes a comment and we remember our Christmas Angel Those bears sit prominently on the hearth every year. My hope is that, someday, they remember to engage in their own random acts of kindness.

That's good. I think all kids run around picking out things they want just because they want it and may just throw them in a corner when they get home. I'm glad that those bears are a keepsake for your family and serve as a reminder of the Christmas spirit!
